Special Guests and Memorable Experiences at Remuera Gardens
Life at Remuera Gardens is certainly never dull. From well-known New Zealand personalities to gardening experts, chefs and broadcasters, we love creating opportunities for our residents and guests to enjoy something a little different.
And right now, we have plenty to look forward to. We’re very excited to welcome broadcaster Peter Williams and renowned horticulturist Jack Hobbs to Remuera Gardens for The Great Garden Quiz on 30 September.
Jack has already visited Remuera Gardens ahead of the event and is looking forward to returning for The Great Garden Quiz. Peter will take on the role of Quiz Master, with Jack adding his horticultural expertise and commentary along the way. Jack will also be put to the test with his own Fast 10, before sharing some of his favourite gardens and joining Peter for a relaxed Q&A. It promises to be a fun morning of gardening, conversation and a little friendly competition.
And then there’s November… We probably shouldn’t be telling you this quite yet, but we have another very special guest coming to Remuera Gardens in November. British barrister and television personality Shaun Wallace will be joining us for what promises to be one of our biggest events yet. That’s all we’re revealing for now. Full details will be announced on 5 October, so watch this space!
Of course, bringing interesting people and experiences into the village is nothing new for us. Last year, we welcomed broadcasting legend Judy Bailey as part of the celebrations for Real Living’s 40th anniversary. Celebrity chef Mike Van de Elzen joined us for a special culinary experience, bringing plenty of personality – and some wonderful food – to the village. And for our garden lovers, entomologist and television personality Ruud Kleinpaste joined us for another memorable garden experience.
Each event has been different, but they all have something in common: bringing people together and creating experiences our residents can genuinely look forward to.
At Remuera Gardens and The Avenue Apartments, there’s always something to look forward to. Great events are just one of the ways we bring people together and make village life interesting, social and fun. As a 100% New Zealand family-owned retirement village, we love doing things a little differently and creating memorable experiences for our residents. Peter Williams and Jack Hobbs in September. Shaun Wallace in November. And plenty more to come. Our calendar is certainly looking exciting!
