Celebrating 2024: Memories and Moments

At Real Living, we begin the new year by reflecting on the highlights of 2024 across our villages. Last year was brimming with unforgettable cultural experiences, including Chinese dragon dances, classical music concerts, a vibrant Hawaiian party, and the "All Shook Up" visit from none other than the Pacific Elvis.

To top it off, our annual Art Show at Pakuranga Park was a massive success, attracting over 720 visitors and raising an impressive $4,000 for Auckland Dementia.

Our social calendar was equally vibrant, featuring enriching visits from organizations like SeniorsDance, Epsom Community Patrol, and even Olympic Bronze medalist Aaron Gate.

Culinary enthusiasts were treated to exceptional experiences, including an elegant Art Deco High Tea, the hearty monthly Huntsman Dinners, and a Winter Bake-Off competition—where the Cranberry and Pistachio Slice claimed the crown.

We also welcomed some unexpected and adorable visitors through Pet Vibes—featuring bunnies, guinea pigs, and even two charming cockatiels—and supported Lonely Miaow, a wonderful cat rescue organization.

Amid these extraordinary moments, our daily life at Real Living continued to focus on what matters most: providing top-tier care, fostering companionship, and promoting a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle for all our residents.

A village with heart

“I’ve never had a moment’s doubt about my decision to move to Epsom Village.” Like Karen, so many of our residents are so happy with their new lifestyle that they don’t want to keep it to themselves. As a proud New Zealand family-owned village, we offer a level of care, warmth, and personal connection that big corporate operators simply can’t replicate. With only 90 residents, Epsom Village is intimate, charming, and distinctive — a place with real character and soul.
