A fabulous opportunity for local families

Pakuranga Park Village is hosting an art exhibition within its premises, presenting a unique opportunity for art lovers to see the works of contemporary New Zealand artists right here in their community. The exhibition will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm in the Park Lounge within the Village. The event is open to the public free of cost, but donations to the Pakuranga College Art Department would be most welcome.

Real Living Group's director Chris Murphy told the Eastern Courier that the exhibition will have four artists from Blenheim and two from Auckland displaying works which are also for sale. "All proceeds go to the artists who achieve the sale and there is no participation cost," he says.

Arlin Sukarlin is one of the artists included in the exhibition

Among the artists who will be showcasing their works include Jadzia Michna-Konigstorfer, Hayley King, Nikki Roberton, Arlin Sukarlin, Sarah Higgins and Fiona Ehn. Fiona Ehn is an artist who works from her studio in the rural settlement of Waitoki, just north of Auckland. Her collections specialise in unique mixed media artworks created with loads of texture, bold colours and a quirky and upbeat twist.

The Village has also invited Pakuranga College's senior art students to join in. The college has accepted the invitation and sees it as an opportunity for the students to both display works and meet established artists.

According to Chris, the exhibition aims to create a stage where art, artists and ideas come together in conversation with local audiences. "We present a diverse set of artists, reflecting the strength, diversity and potential of our creative community."

Chris adds the exhibition is part of the Village's efforts to give back to the community. "This is a fabulous opportunity for local families, especially those with young children, to come and meet some of New Zealand's most creative individuals. Who knows, this could be the start of something amazing in your life."

As a proud New Zealand family-owned village, we offer a level of care, warmth, and personal connection that big corporate operators simply can’t replicate. With only 90 residents, Epsom Village is intimate, charming, and distinctive — a place with real character and soul.
