Every Wednesday afternoon, the Remuera Gardens Bowling Club gathers for a friendly match or two. Everyone is welcome—whether you're a seasoned bowler or just curious to give it a go. This welcoming, inclusive spirit is what defines life at Remuera Gardens: a place where you can take part in as many activities as you wish, surrounded by warm, like-minded people.
Right beside the bowling green, with its open, inviting doors, sits the Pavilion—a lively social hub where residents can enjoy a cup of tea (or a glass of wine!) and relax after the bowling match.
John is one of the keen bowlers who turns up every Wednesday. He and his wife, Veronica, were the very first residents to move into The Avenue Apartments—and they quickly fell in love, not just with the spacious new homes, but with the vibrant lifestyle that comes with them.
“We continue to enjoy our life outside the village,” says John, “but now we also have other options—like playing 500 on a Wednesday night, Friday evening happy hour, bowls on the new bowling green, making new friends… and knowing that if we ever need help or support, the village provides all that. The fellow residents have been very welcoming as we’ve joined the different groups.”
Our Bowls Demo Day on Wednesday, 2 July was a wonderful afternoon of friendly competition and warm community spirit. Residents and visitors alike enjoyed trying their hand at the game with guidance from the Bowling Club members. It was also a fantastic opportunity for many to tour The Avenue Apartments—where comfort and value meet vibrant village life.
