Edinburgh Serviced Apartment - Service Fees

The Serviced apartments are designed for independent living with assistance from hostesses and staff.

The staff have set duties within the framework of the Service Fee as follows:

• WELFARE
  Twice daily contact with residents including the dispensing of medications as required provided the medication is in medico packs. Supervision when required. The Head Hostess can also order prescribed medications.
  
  Hostesses are responsible for reporting any health problems to the doctor and Next of Kin for further attention. In a medical emergency the Registered Nurse will be contacted.
  
  Hostesses assist residents in any emergency.
  
  Additional services required, other than those above on a regular basis, are chargeable at competitive rates based on providing similar services from agencies outside the Village.
• WEEKLY LINEN CHANGE
  Residents must provide their own linen. However, this is changed and laundered at Beattie Lodge on a weekly cycle.
• PERSONAL LAUNDRY
  Personal laundry and the ironing of some items is carried out on a weekly basis.
• RUBBISH COLLECTION
  Bagged rubbish can be left outside the door for daily collection.
• CLEANING
  Each week the apartments are cleaned, vacuumed and dusted with the wet areas scrubbed and washed.
• POWER
  The cost of power is included in the weekly fee.
• MEALS
  Meals are not covered by the same fees. However, there is a 24/7/365
  day a year kitchen on site that offers meals at a very competitive prices. Meals can be delivered to rooms.
